When you need to establish secure Internet single sign-on with multiple partners quickly, organizations turn to Auto-Connect, PingFederate’s implementation of dynamic federation for SAML 2.0. With Auto-Connect, the need for manual SAML configuration is eliminated. By simply adding allowed domains to a white list, PingFederate can automatically discover the user’s identity provider from their email address and immediately give user single sign-on access.
This page serves as the sign-in screen for a simple service demonstrating Auto-Connect. Auto-Connect works by allowing the end-user to enter their email address at their target application (rather than a user id and password). This email address is then used to discover the users identity provider, where they are re-directed to sign-in. Once the user is signed in, they are re-directed back to the target application and allowed in.
What makes Auto-Connect special is the fact that no manual SAML configuration is required by your IT staff to enable a secure, SAML 2.0 compliant single sign-on with the SP initiated use-case.
